Sandhya Prabhat is an Independent Animator and Illustrator from Chennai, who lived in the Bay Area. She holds an MFA Degree in Animation and Digital Arts from NYU Tisch School of the Arts Asia, and a Bachelor's Degree in Literature from Stella Maris College.
Sandhya has over the last 15 odd years, worked on over 60 published books, several of which have won awards and accolades and has been published by Harper Collins, Macmillan, Penguin Randomhouse, Simon and Schuster and Hachette among many. She has been nominated for the NSK Neustadt Prize for Children’s and Young Adult Literature is a prestigious, biennial award sponsored by World Literature Today, at the University of Oklahoma for the year 2027. She has been nominated for the Carnegie Medal (Kate Greenaway Medal) in 2025 for the book 'It's Time To Hush and Say Goodnight'.
Sandhya has created illustration and animation also for reputed clients such as Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Omnicom, McDonalds, Target, Snapchat, and many more.
